Chucks tooth video. Chuck came by for a nail and tooth clip. He has front teeth that are thick and deformed and growing sideways and then a thin extra tooth that almost sticks right out.
That box, professionally modeled by Phaerey, is stuffed full of cards. Each card represents a piggie that came through our door!
We grow each year and I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
I just received a valid question. Someone asked if the Cuys are really that bad that we need to report sightings.
NO Cuys are awesome - I have only 2 guinea pig myself personally and both are giant Cuy boars. We are trying to embarrass the pet stores so those companies will stop buying them from their suppliers. They do not do well as pets. they are so so scared. Because of this those pet store bought Cuys are dumped in record numbers. The shelters here in South California are full and 1/4 of all guinea pigs at our shelter are Cuys. We are doing all this for the Cuys!
We need your help reporting sightings of Cuy. Please use the form I created to report ANY Cuy ANYWHERE. Whether it is your personal guinea pig or one you saw in your local Petco or Petsmart. Do not report 2nd hand sightings, only those you have witnessed first hand and have proof of in the form of a clear video or picture.
HOLIDAY BOARDING - hurry up as there are only a few spaces left. Kate Graham who volunteers with us is available to do pig sitting this Thanksgiving, either at your place or hers. She is located in the Valley.

Kimmie the PETCO CUY .... yes another one.....
This Cuy was taken from a girl that was giving her away. This family has taken care of her till we had space here at the shelter.
Please share these Cuy videos - we need to spread the word and stop petco from selling them.
She was so sad because she thought she somehow must be doing something wrong and that she was making her guinea pig unhappy. By surrendering her she hoped that Ginger would find a home that she somehow would be happier in. This is before I explained that Ginger was a rather big Cuy.
When i showed her all the other Cuys here she felt much better and realized that it was not her at all but that Ginger by nature is just skittish and scared.
Once she understood that, instead of surrendering she actually ended up getting a much bigger cage and adopted a buddy for Ginger!! Hooray for Rachel - you are awesome!!
Watch her video where she explains how she came to own Ginger. Petco please stop selling Cuy guinea pigs!
