Design a new T-Shirt for LAGPR's Etsy Shop!

Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue is excited to host a t-shirt contest fundraiser! We are asking our creative and artistic supporters to submit designs that we can feature on our Etsy shop! If you would like to submit a design, please see our guidelines below with instructions on how to submit your artwork!

                                                                    LAGPR T-Shirt Design Contest Rules and Guidelines

  • 6 designs total will be chosen for our Etsy shop. We will be using these designs primarily for t-shirts in both adults’ and kids’ sizes, however, some designs may be used for other merchandise (sweatshirts, mugs, pins, etc.) Each winning design will be featured on the Etsy shop for 8 weeks.
    • 1 of the 6 designs will be designed by children, ages 12 and under
      • If a submitter is UNDER 18, a parent/guardian will need to a.) submit the artwork for the child and 2.) sign the agreement on behalf of the child.
      • If a submitter is 12 or under, their art will be part of the kids’ division of the contest, and the parents will be asked to provide the child’s age
  • Each artist may submit up to two (2) designs for the contest
  • Submitters will tell us the name that they would like us to use for credit
  • Slogans are encouraged
    • Slogans and artwork must be G-Rated
    • Slogans and artwork must be guinea pig-themed, and LAGPR theme is encouraged
    • We ask that artwork and slogans not show religious or political bias. We have the right to disqualify any submission that suggests a religious or political bias at our discretion
  • Absolutely NO designs made with Artificial Intelligence (AI) software. We want to make sure this contest highlights true human artistic talent and design. AI submissions will be automatically disqualified.
  • Artists will sign a release form that allows LAGPR to use their designs on t-shirts and other merchandise sold to benefit the guinea pigs
  • Submissions will be emailed to [email protected]. Each submission email MUST contain a signed release form (embedded at the bottom of this page). If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign this form on your behalf.
  • LAGPR staff and volunteers will pre-select several designs for final voting. Voters will use a Google Forms survey (linked across social media) to choose their favorite image(s). The 6 images with the most votes, with one being submitted by a child, will be used across merchandise in our Etsy shop.

​Quality Guidelines (This helps us guarantee the best outcome at the printer):
  • Resolution: 300 DPI/PPI
  • Dimensions: Roughly 10-14 inches wide for a standard front/back graphic.
  • File Formats: PNG (transparent background) is ideal for graphics.
  • Pixel Size Example: A 10-inch high print at 300 DPI needs to be 3,000 pixels high
  • Maximum file size: 100 MB, JPEG, PNG
