Ivermectin Treatments and Prevention Dosage
Ivermectin treatments prevent lice, mites, and internal parasites. Even if your guinea pigs are not in touch with others, they can still get these parasites. They can lie dormant and will activate when the animal is under the weather, aging, or under stress.
You can either put a drop on the ear of the injectable Ivermectin (though you don’t inject it; just a pea-sized drop on the outer skin of the ear). This is a great method if you have a lot of animals or you can use a horse de-wormer paste that contains Ivermectin and put a pea-sized amount in their mouth. This is more economical if you have a small herd.

TREATMENT Day one, drop on the ear. Day 4 drop on the ear, and from there, once a week for three weeks.
PREVENTATIVE One drop on the ear every three months.

RINGWORM PREVENTATIVE
Shampoo your guinea pigs 4x a year at least and use any anti-dandruff shampoo (has anti-fungal properties), or use Davis Miconazole pet shampoo. Lather up and let it soak in for 5 minutes, then rinse out. Make sure you cover every single part of your guinea pig including the face, around the eyes, ears. and nose.
